Each book in this series is a collection of articles focusing on current research concerning a major topic in the archaeological study of Israel and neighboring countries. Two volumes deal exclusively with archaeological research in Jerusalem during the past three decades, one with ancient synagogues, and a fourth with ancient churches in the Holy Land. A fifth volume in the series, currently in preparation, will deal with the ancient Negev. Most of the articles are updated English translations of material originally published in the IES Hebrew language journal Qadmoniot. All volumes are quarto size, hard cover with black and white and color illustrations.
